Appellant hospital seeks to overturn a jury verdict in appellees favor in a medical malpractice action. In order to accomplish this purpose, appellant raises the following broad contentions for our consideration: (1) appellee did not introduce sufficient evidence to support the submission of alternative theories of negligence to the jury, (2) the lower courts charge misstated the law of proximate cause and burden of proof, distorted the evidence, and confused the jury, (3) the lower court thwarted appellants presentation of its primary defense, and (4) the $800,000 jury verdict was excessive.
